Symbiosis Law School Pune- LLB Admission
Symbiosis is a Greek term meaning ‘Living together for the mutual benefit of each other.’ Symbiosis is an educational and cultural center of international standards established in 1971, under the patronage of Dr. S. B. Mujumdar, President & Founder Director.
It is registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 and the Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950. SLS, Pune established in June 1977, was earlier affiliated to the University of Pune and later became a constituent of Symbiosis International University in 2002, with an enhanced degree of autonomy in teaching, learning and research.

ELIGIBILITY

- The candidate should have passed 12th (10+2) examination from any recognized board with minimum 45% marks (40% For S.C. /S.T. students) in one attempt (No Compartment).
- Students who have appeared for their H.S.C. finals and SLSP Proposed Awaiting results are also eligible to apply, subject to Submission of passing certificate by the announced date.
- Applicants who have obtained 10+2 through Open Universities system directly without having any basic Qualification are not eligible for the law programmed.

SELECTION PROCEDURE

SLS Admission Test (SLAT) followed by Personal Interaction and Writing Ability Test of the shortlisted candidates. Final selection shall be based on the combined merit list of SLAT score (50%) and PI-WAT 50%

ASSESSMENT

All internal courses will have 100% component as internal evaluation at the institute level. All external courses will have 40% internal component and 60% external component [University] examination.
Internal and external heads of passing shall be a separate head of passing.
Internal evaluation shall consist of one project (20 marks) and minimum 2 of the following (10 marks each): Tutorial, case analysis, cases and open problems, essays, seminar presentations, viva-voce, quiz, drafting, moot court, mock trial, learning logs/diaries, computer based assessment, simulated interviews, objective structured clinical examinations.
STANDARD OF PASSING

- The assessment of the student for each examination is done, based on relative performance. Maximum Grade Point (GP) is 10 corresponding to O (outstanding). For all courses, a student is required to pass both internal and external examination separately with a minimum Grade Point of 4 correspondings to Grade P. - Students securing less than 40% absolute marks in each head of passing will be declared
- The University awards a degree to the student who has achieved a minimum CGPA of 4 out of a maximum of 10 CGPA for the program.
AWARD OF DEGREE

Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Laws (Honours) BBALLB (Hons) will be awarded at the end of semester X by taking into consideration the performance of all Semester examinations after obtaining minimum4.00 CGPA out of 10 CGPA.
