The Symbiosis Law School, Pune stands for excellence in legal education and is nestled in the city of Pune (popularly described as the Oxford of the East, with the glorious heritage of being the capital of the Peshwas).

The Symbiosis Law School (SLS) Pune, established and enriched by the vision of Padma Bhushan Dr. S.B. Mujumdar, was established in 1977 under the illustrious banner of Symbiosis Society.

Since 2002, it has been a constituent of Symbiosis International University, which is accredited by ‘NAAC’ with ‘A’ grade.

The SLS Pune has continuously ranked amongst the top 10 law schools in India by the India Today-Nielsen and The Week survey. It was conferred with the prestigious Gold Star Award by the Bar Council of India in February.

This stature is attained through its various programmes. It offers five years integrated undergraduate programmes such as Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Laws [B.A, LL.B (Hons)], Bachelor of Business Administration, and Bachelor of Laws [B.B.A., LL.B (Hons)], B.A/B.B.A LLB, three-year LL.B, and one-year LL.M program.

Since 2008, DAAD, Germany has been funding faculty members and students of SLS Pune for research and exchange programs through the ‘New Passage to India’ Program with Leibniz University, Hanover, Brunswick European Law School, and Australia University of Applied Sciences, Wolfenbuttel, Germany.

Since 2012, Symbiosis Law School, Pune has also been a part of Ontario Maharashtra Goa (OMG) Exchange Program.

Placement

The Placement Cell organizes placement training throughout the year and during the course of the program through a systematic development plan.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must have passed XII (10+2) examination from any recognized Board with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for S.C./S.T. candidates).

Students who have appeared for their Standard XII final examination and are awaiting results are also eligible to apply, subject to the submission of a passing certificate at the time of the final admission.
