IFIM Law School Bangalore
IFIM Institutions established in 1995 and founded by the DSIJ Group (the publishers of the most popular Dalal Street Investment Journal) and promoted by the Centre for Developmental Education (CDE) – a not-for-profit society, is strategically located in Bangalore with well-planned infrastructure and resources. CDE has established many academic units, which include: IFIM Business School, IFIM College, IFIM Law College and IFIM Center for Distance Learning.
IFIM Law College is affiliated to Karnataka State University (KSLU) and is approved by Bar Council of India (BCI). The curriculum is taught by experienced faculty members, which is complemented by co-curricular as well as extra-curricular activities.
IFIM emphasizes on developing a vibrant mooting and debating culture, with several students already having participated in International Moot Court competitions.

Courses Offered:
- IFIM Law College offers full time 5 years integrated program namely- BBA LLB (Bachelor of Business Administration + Bachelor of Laws).
- The program is approved by BCI and approved by KSLU.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidate should have passed 10 +2/PUC or equivalent with a minimum of 45% marks. 5% relaxation is given to SC/ST candidates.
- The maximum age limit for a candidate is 20 years as on June 1, 2017 (22 years for SC/ST candidates)
- Must have qualified in any one of the entrance examinations, viz., CLAT, LSAT or ILAT (IFIM’s Law Admission Test) Eligibility criteria are subject to change based on University directives, and all admissions have to be approved by Karnataka State Law University
Selection Procedure:
- Short-listed candidates will be called for a personal interview.
- The final decision to admit a candidate will be based on the academic record and the performance in the personal interview.
Infrastructure:
IFIM Law College is spread over 2 acres of land and the infrastructure consists of a computer lab, an integrated Wi-Fi enabled campus, student activity areas such as a lounge and snack bar, newly constructed classrooms of varying seating capacities with air conditioners, three conference halls, a centrally air-conditioned auditorium, an amphitheater, placement office, admissions office and an administration department.
- The hostel is located on a lush two acre site and is located within 2 kilometers from the campus. Transportation to and from the hostel is available.
- The hostel campus is completely Wi-Fi enabled and has well equipped single/double occupancy rooms, made available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and tea are served on the hostel campus.
- The hostel has a state of the art gymnasium, open space for outdoor sports like cricket and football, as well as facilities for various indoor sports.
Internships and Placements:
- IFIM Law College is based in Electronics City, Bangalore, where some of the top recruiters in the country are located.
- There is a saying in the world of legal academia: a law school is only as good as its alumni. With this in mind, the aim of IFIM Law College is to produce lawyers who are employable, socially responsible and can adapt to a wide variety of roles and responsibilities in their chosen sphere.
- We have a dedicated internship and placement cell which is tasked with obtaining internships for our students’ and placing them with lawyers, law firms, in-house legal departments, public policy thank-tanks and NGOs in their final semester.
- As soon as our students arrive, they will have one on one meetings with faculty members as well as the internship and placement coordinator to chart out a career path for them.
- Each student will be assigned a faculty mentor, and once they are clear about what kind of lawyer they want to be, every effort is made to ensure that they are exposed to their chosen field through apprenticeships.
