Course Offered

Eligibility Criteria

Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (10+2) or its equivalent with 45% marks. There shall be relaxation of 5% marks in case of SC/ST students.

Bar Council rules for Eligibility of B.A. LL.B. (5 Year Law Course) as per Bar Council of India Legal Education Rules 2008, BCI Circular No. BCI: D: 1823/2010 dated 30-11-2010 and Circular No. 02/2010 dated 20-12-2010.

Sec 5 (b) and explanation:- Applicants who have obtained 10+2 higher secondary pass certificate or first degree certificate after prosecuting studies in distance or correspondence method are eligible for admission in the integrated five year course.

Applicants who have obtained 10+2 or graduation/post graduation through open universities system, directly without having any basic qualification for prosecuting such studies are NOT ELIGIBLE for admission in law course.

Moot Court Society

Every year a special session is conducted for the orientation of the prospective members of the Moot Court Society for that academic year. In that session students are briefed about the argumentative skills, court mannerisms, style of argument, techniques to respond to the queries of the judges. Experienced members of the bar are invited for conducting this session.

Selection Procedure

The procedure is followed for the selection of the prospective members of the Moot Court Society is very objective.

Problem is given

The problem is given which is based on actual case or sometimes the problem is imaginary one based on legal questions for the determination and argumentation by the participants.

Intra Moot Competition for Screening

Argumentation skills of prospective members are tested through the screening round. In first round their oral presentation are conducted.

Written Test

Besides argumentation skills written abilities are also tested through the written test. This facilitates the evaluation of comprehension of the participants.

Selection of Members

On basis of the score in oral presentation and written test on an average 50 members are selected as members of Moot Court Society for that academic year.

With a view to produce complete professional.ls and holistic individuals, DES’S SNFLC has been instrumental in providing access to the students to potential employers and the finest of the related opportunities in this regard.

Besides giving quality education, the college also endeavors to make students enthusiastic and optimistic about the profession by a systematic process and activity driven approach like encouraging the students to participate in various research based activities which help them acquire in-depth knowledge in various fields, articulation of thoughts on various issues at hand, working with team spirit and time management.

The Placement Committee works as a link between the recruiting forces and students. The committee helps the students get opportunities to work with leading Law Firms, LPO’s and Corporate.
