Dr. D. Y. Patil Unitech was established in the year 1990 with the aim of providing education in all fields thus spreading education to the deserving students and thereby helping them to realize their dreams of a career in professional courses. General Admission Procedure for Law & Diploma Courses

  • Every applicant for admission (Local or otherwise) will be interviewed before admission is finally granted to him.
  • At the time of admission a student will have to pay all the college fees and hostel dues (if any).
  • All students must take admission personally. 
  • All admissions will be provisional and subject to confirmation by Principal and approval by the University.
  • If students have taken admission provisionally because of non-availability of documents, etc., their admission shall be cancelled for non-submission of documents within the stipulated time.

Eligibility Process

Certificates required to be produced at the time of admission of fresh entrants to the college.

  • University or College Certificate of passing the qualifying examination mark list.
  • Birth date certificate.
  • Transfer certificate of the college last attended (in the case of a college affiliated to the Pune University) for this purpose a student while taking admission to this college will have to submit to this office an application in the prescribed form addressed to the college last attended by him, together with the prescribed fees for the transfer certificate. 
  • In case of students migrating from Regional Universities and students who have passed the qualifying examinations from the college of the Maharashtra State the Eligibility fee will be Rs. 550/- and Eligibility fee for the students from outside Maharashtra State will be Rs. 1050/-. Students have to obtain a formal eligibility certificate from the University of Pune by submitting the necessary application along with the following certificates.
    • Migration certificate from the previous University.
    • Transfer certificate.
    • Character certificate from College last attended.
    • University certificate of passing the qualifying examination together with University Marks certificates.

Anti-Ragging Act

Sec 2(C)
Ragging means display of disorderly conduct, doing of any act which causes or is likely to cause physical or psychological harm or raise apprehension or fear or shame or embarrassment to a student in any educational institution and includes: teasing, abusing, threatening or playing practical jokes on, or causing hurt to such student; or asking a student to do any act or perform something which such student will not in the ordinary course, willingly do.

 Sec 3, Prohibition of ragging
Ragging is prohibited within or outside any educational institution.

 Sec 4, Penalty for Ragging
Whosoever directly or indirectly commits, participates in, abets or propagates ragging within or outside any educational institution shall, on Conviction, be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to two years and shall also be liable to fine which may extend to Ten Thousand Rupees.

 Sec 5, Dismissal of Student
Any student convicted of an offence under sec 4 for ragging shall be dismissed from the educational institution for a period of 5 years from the date of order of such dismissal.

 Sec 6, Suspension of the Student

  • Whenever any student or as the case may be the parent or the guardian or a teacher of an educational institution complaints in writing of ragging to the head of the educational institution shall, without prejudice of the foregoing provisions, within seven days of the receipt of the complaint and if, prima facie, it is found true, suspend the student who is accused of the offence and shall, immediately forward the complaint to the Police Station having the jurisdiction over the area in which the educational institution is situated. 
  • Where, an inquiry by the head of the educational institution, it is proved that there is no substance, prima facie, in the complaint received under sub section (1), he/she shall intimate the fact, in writing, to the complainant.
  • The decision of the head of the educational institution that the Student has indulged in the ragging under sub section (1) shall be final.

Hence, the Principal reserves all the rights to expel any Student any time for any reason deemed sufficient by the Principal as misbehaviour.
