What is SET?

Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) is conducted by Symbiosis International (Deemed University) for admission to Symbiosis institutes. SET exam is a gateway for admissions to undergraduate courses such as Management, Law, Engineering, Economics, Design, Mass Communication, Computer Studies, Liberal Arts and Culinary Arts. SET exam 2021 will be conducted on June 27, 2021. The SET admission process has begun and the application window will close on June 4, 2021.

– Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies [SCMS], Pune
– Symbiosis Center for Media & Communication [SCMC], Pune
– Symbiosis School of Economics [SSE], Pune
– Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies [SCMS], Noida
– Symbiosis Institute of Design [SID], Pune
– Symbiosis School of Liberal Arts [SSLA], Pune
– Symbiosis Law School [SLS], Hyderabad

Symbiosis Entrance Test is Not Mandatory for :

– Symbiosis institute of Technology [SIT], Pune
– Symbiosis Institute of Health Sciences [SIHS], Pune
– Symbiosis College of Nursing [SCON], Pune
– Symbiosis School of Photography [SSP], Pune
– Symbiosis School for Liberal Arts [SSLA], Pune (For International Baccalaureate (IB)
students are exempt from SET)

Note: The candidate should note that SET (Symbiosis Entrance Test) is only the first step. Each Symbiosis institute has its independent selection process.

SET Eligibility Criteria 2021

• The aspirant must have cleared Class 12 or equivalent examinations in relevant stream from a recognised board or university with a minimum 50% aggregate ( 45% for SC/ST category students)
• Candidates in Class 12 or awaiting their Class 12 result are also eligible to apply but they will have to submit a passing certificate
• A candidate who has completed Class 12 or equivalent examination from any Foreign Board must obtain an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU)

SET Admission Process 2021

SET exam 2021 is a three-step process that includes application submission, SET 2021 exam and Personal Interview/Written Ability Test.

STEP 1: Fill the SET application form

The candidates can apply for the SET exam by filling SET 2021 application form available online on the official website. They need to register on the SET website as new users. On successful registration, the candidates will be able to access the application form. Payment of application fee of Rs 1750 can be made online only through net banking or by credit/debit card.

STEP 2: Download SET admit card 

SET admit card will only be issued to registered students. Admit cards for SET will be available in the last week of April 2021. The candidates can download their respective admit cards from the official website.

STEP 3: Appear for SET exam 2021

SET exam 2021 will be held on the scheduled date in computer-based test (CBT) mode in various test centres across the country. The candidates must be present at the venue along with the admit cards and one identity proof (Driving license, Aadhar Card, Voter ID, Passport).

STEP 4: Check SET result 2021

SET result 2021 will be announced on the official website. Selected candidates will be called for WAT/PI round. Each institute will release its own cut off post SET 2021 result. The candidates are advised to check individual websites.

STEP 5: Appear for SET WAT/PI

The candidate must carry all the relevant documents (original and photocopy) to the WAT/PI round. Admission will be granted on the basis of a candidate’s overall performance in SET and WAT/PI.

SET Exam Centres 2021
