D.E.S. Law College is situated in Pune in Maharashtra state of India. Established in 1884, it is accredited from Bar Council of India and it is affiliated to University of Pune.

The DES Law College started its revolutionary mission to impart quality education techniques to its students.

DES Shri. Navalmal Firodia Law College (DES SNFLC) has distinct advantage of having a unique heritage of Deccan Education Society, and we intend to fiercely guard and cherish it. We follow the same tradition of our parent society today, which is reflected in the tremendous growth of DES SNFLC in a short span of time.

DES Shri. Navalmal Firodia Law College has entered in its 13th year, keeping pace with the social change and answering responsibly, all the demands of any complex and intricate global legal set up. We have brought about tremendous metamorphosis in terms of inculcating legal education through innovative pedagogy.

The campus is so as to provide standard environment for studies. The campus is well equipped with 15 well-furnished class rooms, a conference hall, library with up-to date books and journals and other materials, a computer lab and an administrative building. It also takes care of the sports activities for the students which is necessary for their fitness.

Courses Offered:

Direct LLB Admission DES Law College Pune. The college offers both bachelor’s and master level courses to the aspirants. The courses are L.L.B, during the 3 year course, students get the LLB (General) after successful completion of 4 semesters. On the other hand, LLB degree is given to candidates only after completing 6 semesters.

L.L.B. or Bachelor of Legislative Law is an undergraduate Law course. Law is a set of categorized rules and regulations under which any society or country is governed. Just like its postgraduate counterpart i.e. LL.M., the course is unconventionally abbreviated as L.L.B.

Eligibility:

Direct LLB Admission DES Law College Pune. Graduate of any faculty of any University whose degree is recognized to be equivalent to the corresponding degree of Pune University. The candidate should have secured a minimum 40% marks for candidates belonging to S.C. / S.T. and 45% marks for others.

Admission Procedure:

The admission is based on the merit and interview results. For admission to the 5 Year Law Course the candidates must have secured at least 45% marks in their 10+2 exams or its equivalent exams.

As per the Maharashtra Unaided Private Professional Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions and Fees) Act, 2015 (Mah. XXVIII of 2015), the Competent Authority is conducting CET(MAH – LL.B. 3 YEAR CET) for admission to Three Year Full-Time Regular Degree Course in Law Viz. LL.B. 3 YEAR.

Admission to First Year of Five Year Integrated Full Time Regular Under-Graduate Degree Course in Law, viz. LL.B. 5 Year For the Academic Year 2018-19.

Placement Cell Report-

Moot Court

Moot Court activity is an inherent feature of every premier Law School to create eloquent Advocates this activity is greatly promoted by the college. The students have brought several laurels to the College by winning prizes at different competitions country wide in International, National and State Level Prestigious Moot Court Competition, Client Counseling and Mock Trials.

College host one of its own kind- Lokmanya Tilak Memorial National Appellate Moot Court Competition each year. A unique style of mooting format at Appellate Level in both Civil and Criminal domains.

Every year a special session is conducted for the orientation of the prospective members of the Moot Court Society for that academic year. In that session students are briefed about the argumentative skills, court mannerisms, style of argument, techniques to respond to the queries of the judges. Experienced members of the bar are invited for conducting this session.

Legal Research Cell

Developing spirit for legal research is one of the most important facets of a Law student’s growth. The College has duly constituted Legal Research Cell which conducts workshops on research methodology, and members participate in research oriented competitions like Legislative Bill Analysis, Research Papers Writing, Judgment Analysis, etc. We are the 1st College to host a National Judgment Analysis Competition as well as Bill Analysis Competition.
