In the present times, the world is exposed to and brazen out with tremendous changes due to multifaceted and intricate situations. No country can be free from the impact and the effect of these changes. Society in-turn has to respond either by choice or by necessity or by both, with appropriate legal framework, policies and programmes.

Considering diversities of India, which is developing and multicultural democracy the task of social transformation by bringing about appropriate changes is stupendous and complex. In prevailing conditions such as enormous population, pluralism in religion, language, ethnic groups and regions, etc. the task is onerous.

Keeping in mind all these aspects and what Victor Hugo says that, “an invasion of army can be resisted, but not an idea whose time has come,” D.E.S. Shri. Navalmal Firodia Law College was established with the vision of imparting globalised legal education with the view to producing world class professionals, scholars and academicians in law.

Course Offered – B.A. LL.B. (Five-Year Course)

Eligibility Criteria
Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (10+2) or its equivalent with 45% marks. There shall be relaxation of 5% marks in case of SC/ST students.

Bar Council rules for Eligibility of B.A. LL.B. (5 Year Law Course) as per Bar Council of India Legal Education Rules 2008, BCI Circular No. BCI: D: 1823/2010 dated 30-11-2010 and Circular No. 02/2010 dated 20-12-2010.

Sec 5 (b) and explanation:- Applicants who have obtained 10+2 higher secondary pass certificate or first degree certificate after prosecuting studies in distance or correspondence method are eligible for admission in the integrated five year course.

Applicants who have obtained 10+2 or graduation/post graduation through open universities system, directly without having any basic qualification for prosecuting such studies are NOT ELIGIBLE for admission in law course.

Moot Court Facilities

Moot Court activity is an inherent feature of every premier Law School to create eloquent Advocates this activity is greatly promoted by the college.

The students have brought several laurels to the College by winning prizes at different competitions country wide in International, National and State Level Prestigious Moot Court Competition, Client Counseling and Mock Trials.

We host one of its own kind- Lokmanya Tilak Memorial National Appellate Moot Court Competition each year. A unique style of mooting format is at Appellate Level in both Civil and Criminal domains.

Placement Cell

With a view to produce complete professional.ls and holistic individuals, DES’S SNFLC has been instrumental in providing access to the students to potential employers and the finest of the related opportunities in this regard.

Besides giving quality education, the college also endeavors to make students enthusiastic and optimistic about the profession by a systematic process and activity driven approach like encouraging the students to participate in various research based activities which help them acquire in-depth knowledge in various fields, articulation of thoughts on various issues at hand, working with team spirit and time management.

The Placement Committee works as a link between the recruiting forces and students. The committee helps the students get opportunities to work with leading Law Firms, LPO’s and Corporate.

This year with the help of the students coordinators Ramneet Arora Vth BSL.LL.B , Purva Tatke Vth BSL.LL.B, Konark Gupta Vth BSL.LL.B and Bharath Senan Vth BSL.LL.B actively coordinated the programme for the semester the placement cell had a smooth functioning.

Campus Visits: Amongst the above mentioned Companies, Law Firm and LPO’s Mindcrest Talekar & Associates Visited the college For Campus Placements. LPO’s Mindcrest Company Online Tests were conducted for 20 students out of which 13 students were shortlisted for the second round of online tests.
C.V.’s Forwarded: For other companies, LPO’s & Law Firms CV’s of interested students were forwarded, Shortlisted students were called by the respective companies, LPO’s and Law Firms in their respective offices for interviews.
