The foundation stone of the New Law College building was laid down in the year 2004 at the hands of the Chief Justice of India Hon. Mr. Justice K.G. Balakrishnan, the then judge Supreme Court of India. The new building of the law college was inaugurated in the year 2005 at the hands of Hon. Mr. Justice R.C. Lahoti, the then Chief Justice of India. The college has celebrated its silver jubilee in the year 2003 .

Eligibility Process:
As prescribed by Bar Council of India, Rules of Legal Education 2008, the applicant shall have passed 10+2 or an examination recognized as equivalent there to and have obtained 45% of the total marks in case of general category and 40% of the total marks in case of SC & ST applicant. The maximum age for seeking ad-mission into stream of 5 years bachelor degree course in l.aw is limited to 20 years in general category and in case of SC, ST and other backward class applicant it is limited to 22 years.

Regulations of BA LL.B. 5 Year Programme
(For New Law College-Management Quota BA-LLB Admission 2021 Batch)
- The Five Year BA LL.B. Degree Programme approved by BCI is a Ten Semester Programme.
- The duration of each semester shall be of six months.
- There shall be an Examination at the end of each semester which shall be conducted by the University
- Ad-mission to the Programme is by Merit only through All India L.aw Entrance Test conducted by Bharati Vidyapeeth University.
- Eligibility for Ad-mission to BA LL.B. First Semester – The applicant shall have passed the H.S.C. Examination (10+2) in English or equivalent from recognized Board / University and have obtained minimum 45% marks in aggregate.
- Provisional Ad-mission: Every admission given shall be provisional. Provisional ad-mission is for a limited period. Its confirmation depends upon the clearance of eligibility as per rules of ad-mission/ examination. In case of non-clearance of eligibility within the period of first term, it stands cancelled automatically without any notice. In case of any doubt, the student shall contact the Principal immediately and shall clarify the doubts in writing.
- A. LL.B 5 year programme shall have 280 credits in Ten Semesters as prescribed in the table below.
- The medium of instruction and of the examination shall be English.
- The scope of the subjects shall be as indicated in the prescribed syllabus.
- Each paper from Sem- I to Sem- X shall be of 100 marks.
- In each paper out of 100 marks – 40 marks will be for Internal Examination and 60 marks for University Examination. This rule shall not be applicable for Practical Papers.
- The student will be awarded B.A. LL.B. degree after passing in all the papers from I semester to X semester in LL.B. 5 Year Programme.
- A person has already obtained B.A LL.B. or equivalent degree from any other statutory University will not be eligible for the ad-mission to the BA LL.B. Programme of this University.
