What is BBA LL.B.?

BBA LLB – Full Form (Bachelor of Business Administration & Bachelor of Legislative Law) course is of five years duration and on completion of this course aspirants are offered a professional degree. BBA LLB is an integrated law course wherein aspirants are taught subjects related to Business Administration as well as Law.

As part of a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) LLB course aspirants are first taught Commerce subjects such as Principles of Management, Financial Accounting, Computer Applications, and Effective Communication etc. Thereafter, aspirants are taught law subjects like Law of Torts, Family Law, Constitutional Law, Property Law, Company Law, Administrative Law, Civil Law, Criminal Law, and the likes.

The maximum duration within which aspirants need to complete their BBA LLB course is eight years. As part of an integrated BBA LLB course, aspirants are taught various topics by means of classroom teaching, case studies and moot courts.

BBA LLB Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants meet the eligibility criteria for BBA LLB course if they have completed their 10+2 from a recognized board. Apart from this, most law colleges/ institutes also state that candidates are eligible to apply for a BBA LLB course.

If they secure minimum 45% to 50% marks at their 10+2 level (for SC/ ST category candidates the range of this minimum marks percentage is 40%-45%). There is no age limit criteria that candidates need to fulfil in order to apply for BBA LLB course admissions.

What is B.A. LL.B.?

BA LLB – Full Form (Bachelor of Arts & Bachelor of Legislative Law) is an integrated law degree that aspirants can pursue right after their Class 12.

The duration of BA LLB course is five years. As part of a Bachelor of Arts (BA) LLB course aspirants are first taught Arts subjects such as Economics, History, Political Science, Sociology etc.

Thereafter, aspirants are taught about law specializations like Civil Law, Criminal Law, Labour Law, Tax Law, Administrative Law, Corporate Law, Patent Law and the likes. 

BA LLB Eligibility Criteria

Candidates are eligible to pursue a BA LLB course if they have completed their 10+2 from a recognized board. Apart from this, most popular law colleges also fix a minimum marks requirement in order to be eligible to apply for BA LLB course offered by them.

By means of this criteria, candidates belonging to General/ OBC/ Specially abled persons categories need to secure at least 45% marks at their 10+2 level in order to pursue a BA LLB course and the percentage fixed for SC/ ST category is 40%. There is no age limit criteria that candidates need to fulfill in order to apply for BA LLB course admissions.

As part of an integrated BA LLB course, candidates are imparted education not only through classroom teaching methods but also by means of case studies and moot courts.

After admission you are then eligible to apply for a practicing certificate as a solicitor from the Law Society of NSW or undertake further studies to obtain a practicing certificate as a barrister from the Bar Association of NSW.
