To get admission into law colleges in India for a bachelor’s degree, you can give, Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), LSAT India – Law School Admission Test, AIBE (All India Bar Exam), All India Law Entrance Test (AILET), AIL Entrance Test (Army Institute of Law B.A. LL.B Entrance Test), Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET), BVP CET Law, Delhi University Law Entrance Exam, AMU Law Entrance Exam, BHU-UET. It is mandatory to appear for entrance exam for BA LLB course.

Requirement to Attend Law Entrance Exam

Candidates who have passed their Senior Secondary School Examination/ 12th Board Examination can apply. Marks in qualifying exam: A minimum of 45% marks in the qualifying degree is required to appear for 2021 Session. SC and ST candidates need only 40% marks.

Senior Secondary School/Intermediate (10+2) or its equivalent certificate from a recognised Board with not less than 45% marks in aggregate (40% in case of SC and ST candidates). There is no upper age restriction for the test.

B/B. L. Degree or an equivalent degree from a recognized University with not less than 55% marks in aggregate (50% in case of SC and ST candidates). The candidates who have passed the qualifying degree examination through supplementary/ compartment and repeat attempts are also eligible for appearing in the test and taking Admission provided that such candidates will have to produce the proof of having passed the qualifying examination with fifty-five/fifty percent marks, as the case may be, on the date of their admission or within the time allowed by the respective universities.

The test is taken after the Higher Secondary Examination or the 12th grade for admission to integrated under graduation programmes in Law and after Graduation in Law for Master of Laws (LL.M) programmes conducted by these law universities.

The two-hour admission test consists of objective type covering questions on Elementary Mathematics or Numerical Ability, English with Comprehension, General knowledge and Current affairs, Legal Aptitude and Legal Awareness and Logical reasoning.

Common Law Admission Test (CLAT): The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), is an all India entrance examination, conducted on rotation by 18 National Law Universities (NLUs) for admissions to their Under-Graduate and Post-Graduate degree programs.

AIL Entrance Test (Army Institute of Law B.A. LL.B Entrance Test): The AIL conducts the entrance examination every year for the admission of the students into its Law courses. Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET): Symbiosis SET 2021 Admit card for various entrance test will be released SET/SLAT/SEED/SITEEE in the third week of April 2021. BHU-UET: The exam of BHU UET 2021 will be held from the second week of May 2021 in,both, online and offline mode. Candidates will be able to check their results in the second week of June 2020 and counselling will start thereafter for the selected candidates.
