Bharati Vidyapeeth University’s New Law College, established in 1978, is the premier institute of international excellence in the field of legal education. It is one of the constituent units of Bharati Vidyapeeth University Pune, recognized by the Bar Council of India & the University Grant Commission.
The College affiliation is approved by Bar Council of India through Letter No. BCI-D-1029, (2009(1-E.Mtg) Dated 7/7/2009.The college is also recognized under 2f & 12b of UGC Act 1956. The college is Re-Accredited with “A+” Grade by National Assessment & Accreditation Council (3rd Cycle).
The College was inaugurated in the year 1978 at the hands of Hon. Mr. Justice Y.V. Chandrachud the then Chief Justice of India.
The foundation stone of the New Law institute building was laid down in the year 2004 at the hands of the Chief Justice of India Hon. Mr. Justice K.G. Balakrishnan, the then judge Supreme Court of India.
The new building of the law institute was inaugurated in the year 2005 at the hands of Hon. Mr. Justice R.C. Lahoti, the then Chief Justice of India. The institute has celebrated its silver jubilee in the year 2003.
BBA LL.B. 5 YEAR DEGREE PROPGRAM

Name of the Course: B.B.A. (Law) 5 Year Degree Course
Eligibility: As prescribed by Bar Council of India, Rules of Legal Education 2008, the applicant shall have passed 10+2 or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto and have obtained 45% of the total marks in case of general category and 40% of the total marks in case of SC & ST applicant. The maximum age for seeking admission into the stream of 5 years bachelor degree course in law is limited to 20 years in the general category and in the case of SC, ST, and other backward class applicants it is limited to 22 years.
Note: Candidates can attend the first counselling at Pune or New Delhi on July 1, for admission at Bharati Vidyapeeth New Law College, Pune only.

- If applied online, the application fee needs to be paid online through net-banking or credit/debit card.
- Interested candidates may also fill up the form offline by taking a print out of the application form.
- After filling-up the application form, the application fee can be paid through Demand Draft in favor of the Registrar, on any nationalized bank payable at Pune.
- The application fee is INR 1200.

Building: The institute is housed in the seven-storied building, inaugurated by the then Chief Justice of India, Hon’ble Mr. Justice R.C. Lahoti in 2005. The building has ICT equipped 40 classrooms, a spacious library with a reading room, cyber cell, placement cell, moot courtroom, legal aid cell, human rights cell, women empowerment cell, sports room, NSS room, conference hall, etc.
Sports : The institute has indoor as well outdoor sports facilities. The indoor sports facilities include a pool table, table tennis, carom, chess, etc. while for the outdoor sports events the institute has separate ground for cricket, football, basketball court, volleyball court.
