The college was inaugurated in the year 1978 at the hands of Hon. Mr. Justice Y.V. Chandrachud the then Chief Justice of India. The foundation stone of the New Law College building was laid down in the year 2004 at the hands of the Chief Justice of India Hon. Mr. Justice K.G. Balakrishnan, the then judge Supreme Court of India. The new building of the law college was inaugurated in the year 2005 at the hands of Hon. Mr. Justice R.C. Lahoti, the then Chief Justice of India. The college has celebrated its silver jubilee in the year 2003.
The College affiliation is approved by the Bar Council of India through Letter No. BCI-D-1029,(2009(1-E.Mtg) Dated 7/7/2009.The college is also recognized under 2f & 12b of the UGC Act 1956. The college is Re-Accreditated with “A+” Grade by National Assessment & Accreditation Council (3rd Cycle).
Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University has three campuses in Pune, one at Dhankawadi on Pune-Bangalore Highway 5 kms in the south of Pune and another at Erandwane, in the heart of the city and in Lavale.

Katraj Main Campus (Dhankawadi)
This campus is the prime campus of BVDU and is spread across 85 acres of land which is very conveniently located, this campus is also known as the Katraj Campus, It houses 24 colleges of various disciplines major among them are the Medical College, Dental College, & College Of Engineering Pune, This campus has a fully developed football and sports ground of 5 acres, It also houses the Bharati Hospital, and an Ayurved and Homeopathic Hospital, There are Hostels on campus for students, canteens, an ATM center, Bharati Bank Branch, 24 hrs open Medical Store, Mess facility and the campus is a well maintained environment-friendly green campus.
Lavale Campus
Bharati Vidyapeeth’s Group of Institutes, Technical Campus, College of Engineering, Lavale, Pune has been established in the year 2012. The campus is located at a distance of 12 km from Chandi Chowk Kothrud, Pune, 32 Km from Pune airport and 26 km from Pune Railway station. The campus occupies 350 acres of land with a beautiful landscape and all other amenities. Since the institute is located on the outskirts of Pune city, it is completely pollution-free and therefore provides a good teaching-learning environment. The institute runs five branches viz. Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, with an intake of 60 students each.
Erandwane Campus

BBA/ B.A. LL.B. 5 Year Degree Programme
Eligibility:
As prescribed by Bar Council of India, Rules of Legal Education 2008, the applicant shall have passed 10+2 or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto and have obtained 45% of the total marks in case of general category and 40% of the total marks in case of SC & ST applicant. The maximum age for seeking admission into the stream of 5 years bachelor degree course in law is limited to 20 years in general category and in case of SC, ST and another backward class applicant it is limited to 22 years.
Admission Process
New Law College Pune 2022 Admission will be announced by Bharati Vidyapeeth New Law College, Pune. It is re-accredited with A grade by NAAC. The institute offers 3 year LLB program, 5 year BA LLB, 5 year BBA LLB, and 1 or 2 year LLM programs. Moot Court
The genesis of the Moot Court Society lies in the quest for upholding the benchmark of excellence that we have set for ourselves. The Moot Court Society is entrusted with facilitating mooting activity in college. International- National and in-house moot courts and Trial Advocacy competitions are organized by the Moot Court Society. Students are encouraged to participate and represent the college in various competitions. Introductory sessions on mooting are held for novice and optimum training and guidance is given by the faculty, senior students and experts in the different fields of law to the teams participating in the national international moot court competitions.
